Carvoeiro
was once a sleepy fishing village but since the 1960’s has
emerged as a cosmopolitan resort where Portuguese life goes hand
in hand with a thriving holiday industry.
Carvoeiro is ideal for family holidays and to use as a base for
exploring the more rugged parts of the Algarve.
For those wanting an active holiday, golf, tennis and horse-riding
are all available locally.
Restaurants and bars around the square offer a delicious choice
of local seafood, and a late afternoon drink is the way many people
choose to end their day after sunbathing on the beach.

Carvoeiro main square
The town is full of small shops and a fabulous selection of international
restaurants giving more choice than most people can fit into a two
week stay. |

Located midway between the resorts of Albufeira to the east and
Lagos to the west, the area is perfect to explore all the Algarve
has to offer.
The resort surrounding the village is home to fashionable villas
and a wide range of holiday apartments.

Carvoeiro town and beach
Holidays to Carvoeiro are delightful.
Cut out from red cliffs, this charming resort with a golden sandy
beach leading to crystal clear waters is full of character.
Carvoeiro is ideal for a laid back beach holiday with winding streets
leading down to the cove. You'll also find rocky bays and secluded
beaches away from the main beach.
In recent years the fishing boats have been adapted to take tourists
on trips along the beautiful coastline, but the central square is
still a meeting place for the old fishermen.
